Thinking of You Week and GCA invite retailers, publishers to celebrate

Thinking of You Week USA and Greeting Card Association (GCA) are preparing for the 2020 Thinking of You Week, which will be held Sep. 21-27, 2020. This event originally began in 2014, in the U.K., and in 2018 in the U.S. and has developed into a global annual event that is all about “the personal touch.”

“Thinking of You Week USA and the Greeting Card Association invite greeting card publishers and retailers to help us celebrate Thinking of You Week 2020,” said Ashleigh Pritchard of CharmCat Creative.

GCA and Thinking of You week wants to connect with publishers, artists and retailers and have the hashtag #thinkingofyouweek used for a chance to be featured on the Thinking of You Week USA Instagram page. Individuals are asked to post photos of greeting cards, handwritten letters, care packages using this hashtag.

Post photos sharing your greeting cards, handwritten letters, and care packages using the hashtag #thinkingofyouweek for a chance to be featured on the Thinking of You Week USA Instagram page.

Thinking of You Week and GCA wants to see how consumers stayed connected and shared a smile through the mail this year. Since this event is for everyone, Thinking of You Week has developed a toolkit for anyone interested in organizing a writing event within their own community. Retailers and publishers, along with other industry professionals can help share this information with customers and within individual communities.

This year provided an opportunity to create a positive connection, with so many people unable to visit and gather in the usual sense. Technology has been a great way to “see” one another, but at times thoughtful words and sentiments have a greater impact.

Thinking of You Week 2020 will occur Sep. 21-27, 2020. For more information, visit thinkingofyouweekusa.com.
