New Smoky Mountain Gift Show to Have its Debut in Utah
Smoky Mountain Gift Show management has announced the first annual Rocky Mountain Gift Show Feb. 14-17 at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City. The goal is to provide buyers with nearly 1,000 booths of the same high-quality vendors that come to Tennessee. Realizing that smaller retailers out West have not been able to budget buying trips to Tennessee, show management hopes to provide them with the same family reunion atmosphere that is experienced in Gatlinburg each fall.
Salt Lake City is best described as a major metropolis disguised as a quaint mountain town and was chosen for its unique environment. The Salt Lake City International Airport, located 10 minutes from The Salt Palace, is ranked No. 1 in the nation for on-time arrivals and departures.
Just as during The Smoky Mountain Gift Show in Gatlinburg, show attendees will be able to combine business with a pleasure trip. The convention center is one of the largest in the West with access to more than 7,323 convention district hotel rooms, 140 restaurant and cafes in the downtown area and over 35 nightspots for those with any extra energy after the show.
