National Geographic introduces new ‘Amazing Animals’ plush toys

International Playthings, Inc. (IPI), is pleased to announce a partnership with National Geographic to bring an exciting new line of National Geographic Kids “Amazing Animals” plush toys to the North American market in 2008. With six animal categories available, these high-quality toys reflect the unique characteristics of their species.

“International Playthings is thrilled to have been selected by National Geographic to bring Amazing Animals to market under the National Geographic Kids brand banner,” said Ticia Will, senior product manager for International Playthings, Inc. “These premium-quality plush figures are more than simply toys. They allow children to interact with a number of unique and intriguing animals as they gain knowledge of and appreciation for the natural world and the special characteristics of each species.”

Each Amazing Animal comes with a collectible “fun fact” card that includes a photo of the animal in its natural habitat, as well as interesting and educational information on the animal presented in a kid-friendly format. The six Amazing Animal categories available are ice animals, reptiles, African and Asian mammals, Australian marsupials, tropical frogs and polar babies.
