Minka Group expands into larger new showroom at Dallas Market Center

Dallas Market Center, a large residential lighting marketplace in North America, announced that Minka Group is expanding into a large new showroom that will feature all of its brands together in one location. Opening in time for the Jan. 7-10, 2021 edition of Lightovation, the new space is Trade Mart 4103.

All Minka Group brands will be located in a single showroom allowing for continuity of viewing across all collections and the efficiency of working with staff and enjoying hospitality in one central destination.

“We are deepening our investment in Dallas as part of a long-term strategy to create an integrated presentation across all brands,” said Tim Flannery, executive vice president of sales, Minka Group. “But more importantly this new showroom will deliver a comprehensive Minka experience including the products, inspiration and education we are committed to delivering. Realizing that retailers want to make the most of their time in Dallas, we are reimagining our new showroom to maximize efficiency, good service and comfort. This investment is also an opportunity to expand into new categories in order to meet new demand. On behalf of our family-run company thank you to the Dallas Market Center family for the opportunity and a strong partnership for many years to come.”

“Minka has long been a destination in Dallas and a forward-thinking company. Their breadth of product across so many segments of the industry made this expansion a natural step for them. We are pleased that they are taking this opportunity with tremendous foresight to create a new location for lighting crafted with style and quality. Their investment demonstrates a commitment to both the lighting community and to Dallas Market Center as North America’s largest residential lighting marketplace. Thank you to Marian, Kurt, Tim, and their entire team,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center.

Minka has already begun the design phase for their new space, and construction will take place in the fall and winter. The company will announce additional plans including a grand opening schedule in the coming months. Prior to the grand opening, Minka will welcome buyers to their existing locations in Trade Mart 3725 and 3783 for the August Dallas Lighting Expo taking place Aug. 19-21–an event concurrent with the rescheduled summer Total Home & Gift Market and featuring exhibitors presenting new products following the cancellation of the summer edition of Lightovation.

Minka joins dozens of companies that have recently deepened their commitment to Dallas Market Center via long-term renewals, expansions, or new leases. Updated dates for the January 2021 Lightovation were previously announced: Jan. 7-10. The winter edition has shifted one day later to a Thursday to Sunday pattern to accommodate buyer and exhibitor preferences.
