Las Vegas Market sets panelists for signature Ahead of the Curve program

Las Vegas Market named four interior designers – Aimee Wertepny, Britany Simon, Denise Morrison, and Marie Flanigan – as principal panelists for its popular “Ahead of the Curve” educational program, a proprietary home furnishings forecast presented in partnership with Luxe Interiors + Design at the Summer 2019 Las Vegas Market, running July 28 – Aug. 1, 2019.

“Las Vegas Market is delighted to partner with these leading designers to offer attendees a look at what’s trending in the West Coast home décor and design world,” said Dorothy Belshaw, executive vice president, chief marketing and digital officer for International Market Centers.

“Ahead of the Curve” will be held on Monday, July 29, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in Building B’s WorldView on Sixteen. Kathryn Given, senior design and market editor for Luxe Interiors + Design, will moderate a panel discussion with the four well-known interior designers who will share their insights and opinions about the hottest new directions and designs in home furnishings.

Marie Flanigan is the principal designer at Houston-based Marie Flanigan Interiors. She is an award-winning interior designer whose passion and achievements in design have positioned her as one of the nation’s top designers. Her trademark style is evident through the use of color, texture, and light, and every home she designs receives her personal signature of timeless elegance and innovative simplicity.

Britany Simon is the principal designer at Arizona-based Britany Simon Design House. Her experience spans across an array of projects – from large-scale commercial renovations to whole home makeovers and budget-friendly builds. Simon began her professional career working for some of the top design firms in Arizona where she worked on new residential homes, specializing in both kitchen and bath design, from conception to completion throughout the entire construction process.

Denise Morrison is the founder and principal designer at California-based Denise Morrison Interiors. Morrison studied at Cal State Fullerton, where she learned her trademark design principle: tension. She believes that this tension and balance between design elements sets the framework for unforgettable design.

Aimee Wertepny founded Chicago-based PROjECT – all indie rock, now-or-never sweat and stamina – nearly 10 years ago. On her watch, PROjECT is based in textural detail, organic influence and the art of visual surprise.

Prior to the seminar, the designers will scout the Las Vegas Market showrooms to identify their favorite trends and products. During the presentation, they will discuss their top picks and describe the items, why they selected them, what trends are emerging and how they would incorporate each into a room. A complete list of all the designers’ selections, along with showroom locations, will be provided at the close of the seminar session, so that attendees can see all the resources first-hand. Program attendees will receive .15 CEU.
