Las Vegas Market presents signature Ahead of the Curve trend program

Las Vegas Market announced that its signature Ahead of the Curve trend program will be presented as a CEU-accrediting webinar on Aug. 19 in advance of Summer 2020 Market, running Aug. 30 – Sept. 3, 2020. During the session, a panel of design experts will discuss the latest West Coast design trends in home furnishings.

The Ahead of the Curve webinar will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (PST) on Wednesday, Aug. 19. Kathryn Given, senior design and market editor for Luxe Interiors + Design, will moderate a panel discussion with the four interior designers who will share their insights and opinions about the hottest new directions and designs in home furnishings. Meredith Ellis is the principal designer for Austin, Texas-based Meredith Ellis Design. With more than two decades of interior design experience, Ellis creates soulful homes, expertly layering pattern, texture and color to bring a curated, collected feel that is tailored specifically for each client.

Sandra Espinet is the owner of S.E. Design Services in Los Cabos, Mexico and Los Angeles. Best known for relaxed luxury and casual international style, Espinet’s experience and extensive travel have given her a unique prospective in her design work.

Steve Somogyi and Filip Malyzszko are co-owners of Chicago-based steve + filip design. For over a decade, the duo has specialized in full-service strategies for new construction and renovations. Their goal is to create unique schemes for homes, offices and retail spaces with an emphasis on quality and elegance.

Prior to the webinar, the designers will scout new and known supplier through the Las Vegas Market website exhibitor directory. Using Las Vegas Market exhibitor profiles and links through to exhibitor websites, the designers will identify their favorite trends and products. During the presentation, they will discuss their top picks, describe the items and explain the reasoning behind their selections. They also will discuss the trends that are emerging and how each selection would be incorporated into a room. Program attendees will receive 1.5 CEU.
