IMC receives temporary certificate of occupancy for World Market Center

International Market Centers (IMC) received a temporary certificate of occupancy for the Expo at World Market Center Las Vegas, its new 315,000-square-foot tradeshow facility in downtown Las Vegas. The Expo officially opens for business on Aug. 30 when it houses the temporary gift and home exhibits for IMC’s Summer 2020 Las Vegas Market.

“The Expo is a public-private partnership that will provide downtown Las Vegas with a state-of-the-art venue for smaller-scale meetings, conferences and exhibitions,” said Bob Maricich, CEO for IMC. “We are delighted that construction stayed on time and on budget during recent business disruptions and believe this facility is an important first step for the tradeshow industry as Las Vegas recovery begins.”

Expo debuts during summer Las Vegas Market

The Expo will debut during the Summer 2020 Las Vegas Market, 2020, housing the market’s temporary exhibitors in six destinations: Design, Gift, Handmade, Home, Immediate Delivery and Luxe. The Expo lobby, which is contiguous with Building C, will include attendee and exhibitor registration, positioning it as the gateway to the marketplace’s permanent and temporary resources. For its premiere, the Expo will feature a new tradeshow layout designed to enable social distancing and traffic control due to COVID-19.

Las Vegas Market is the leading home furnishings and gift market in the western U.S., presenting 4,300+ furniture, home décor and gift resources in an unrivaled market destination. Las Vegas Market features thousands of furniture, home décor and gift lines, allowing for cross-category commerce among these industries. Summer 2020 Las Vegas Market runs Aug. 30 – Sept. 3, 2020, at World Market Center Las Vegas. For more information, visit www.lasvegasmarket.com.

Outside of the Las Vegas Market dates, The Expo at World Market Center Las Vegas will host tradeshows, as well as corporate and private events. For more information, visit www.imcenters.com.
