Child’s Play Communication announces two events

Child’s Play Communications, specialists in promoting kids’ products and consumer technology, is pleased to announce 2019 dates for two major events: the Kids & Family Tech Expo & STEMStation and the Seriously STEM Awards.

The annual events are specially created to generate media visibility for family tech products and STEM toys.

The Kids & Family Tech Expo & STEMStation is the ONLY media event focused exclusively on tech products designed for babies, kids and parents. STEMStation — a special section within the Expo — introduces toys that teach STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

The 2019 Kids & Family Tech Expo, now in its fourth year, and STEMStation, celebrating its second anniversary, will take place October 30 in New York City.  Previous exhibitors — many of them repeat participants — have included LEGO Boost, Spin Master, Hexbug, littleBits, Primo Toys, Klutz, Elenco, Pai Technology, Tech Will Save Us and Kano, among others.

Approximately 50 top press and social influencers attend each year. Guests have included the Today show, Associated Press, Parents Magazine, Good Housekeeping, PC Magazine, Cool Hunting, Cool Mom Picks/Cool Mom Tech, Gizmodo and Geek Dad, among other national media, as well as local parenting-focused social influencers, publications and network TV.

The Seriously STEM Awards, launched last year in partnership with STEM.org, is the ONLY awards program designed exclusively to review and evaluate STEM toys for kids. Winners will be chosen by an outstanding panel of independent judges — educators, industry play experts and toy reviewers — with genuine expertise specifically in children and STEM.

“Parents know that it’s important to introduce children to STEM concepts and that children learn through play,” said Child’s Play president Stephanie Azzarone. “Our goal with the Seriously STEM Awards is to help moms and dads choose toys that really teach STEM skills rather than just claim to.”

Seriously STEM award winners will be announced to media at the Kids & Family Tech Expo & STEMStation event and heavily promoted throughout holiday season. A percentage of Seriously STEM proceeds will once again be donated to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
