Atlanta showcases gourmet, tabletop and entertaining trends
The Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market showcases trends in tabletop, housewares and gourmet food products at its 2020 staging. More than 900 leading brands will present new introductions and 10 culinary tastemakers will lead interactive demonstrations at the market held from January 14-21, 2020.
“Gourmet and tabletop buyers are coming to Atlanta to source and discover the next must-have styles, tools, techniques and products for their customers,” said Dave Savula, executive vice president of gift and apparel leasing forInternational Market Centers (IMC). “The brands are expanding, updating and re-imaging their spaces to inspire their customers, and our interactive educational programming provides tips and tools to successfully sell these trending categories.”
Some 150 plus gourmet and tabletop showrooms will show new product introductions at the market. Most notably, LSA International and Rosenthal Sambonet USA open a new showroom to showcase new introductions in its Versace line; Mackenzie-Childs relocates and expands by nearly 1,000 square feet to showcase its new Golden Hour Furniture Collection which features contemporary dining pieces; and Michael Aram is redesigning its space to showcase its new Cherry Blossom collection designed exclusively for independent retailers.
In the temporary collections, new grouped “mini booth” incubators will showcase new and up-and-coming brands like eco-friendly food storage brands Z Wraps, Buzee and handmade Cooper’s Small Batch Hot Sauce. The Georgia Grown Pavilion expands with more than 30 exhibitors from across the state showing Georgia-made products. In January, the six temporary collections with gourmet and tabletop merchandise are Gourmet Foods, Gourmet LUXE, Housewares, Tabletop and Entertaining and Tabletop LUXE.
Across the market, product introductions are trending towards time-saving tools, recipes and preparations. “The new product introductions are designed to honor the time we have so we don’t have to spend it all in the kitchen,” noted Tisa Garcia Lynn, owner and CEO of representative group Good Food Services.
