Accent on Design Award winners announced at NY NOW

NY NOW®, the Market for Home, Lifestyle + Gift, today announced the winners of the Accent on Design® Awards. This awards program recognizes product design excellence, innovation and creativity among NY NOW’s Accent on Design exhibitors, a juried collection of contemporary designers and their products currently on display through Wednesday, Aug. 23, at New York City’s Javits Center.

The summer 2017 Accent on Design Award winners are:

Best New Product Collection: Dovetail (Booth #3865) — Dovetail is a new kind of publishing company that pairs impactful books with original products.

Best Overall Collection: Yamazaki USA Inc. (Booth #3736) — Yamazaki brings thought and creativity to everyday items through design inspired by life in Japan with products that are both decorative and functional.

Best Curation: Design Ireland (Booth #4162) — Furniture and lighting. Presented by the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland, Design Ireland showcases and allows buyers to discover the best of design and craft from Ireland all in one place.

Best Booth Design: Fornasetti Profumi (Booth #3910) — Fornasetti Profumi encompasses various home scenting devices from candles to incense and diffusers, each with a clearly defined purpose and that can be re-used or given an alternative use.
