ZAG revamping website, looking to expand overseas
The Zoo & Aquarium Buyers Group (ZAG) is incredibly excited about our partnership with Museums & More magazine. ZAG is committed to helping independent gift shop buyers in the zoo and aquarium industry have a voice at the table when the big issues of our profession are discussed. One focus of our mission is “promoting professionalism in the industry” and I can’t think of a better way to reach more independent buyers and make our efforts known. As a 501c3 non-profit organization run by volunteers we are so thankful for partners like Museums & More.
At ZAG we are excited about the future and have several initiatives in the works. We are revamping and expanding our website — www.zaggift.com — the new site will be easy to navigate for our members and sponsors. We are also adding several new educational features and look forward to being a conduit of communication for our members and our sponsors. ZAG is partnering with the buyer (and ZAG Member) Alison Brooks from Chester Zoo to explore a UK/European chapter of ZAG. We will continue to partner with our Trade Show Sponsors to offer travel scholarship opportunities to our members who may not have a large travel budget. The chance to attend a trade show or market is invaluable for buyers and ZAG is happy to make this happen for many of our members each year.

ZAG membership is, as always, free to any independent gift shop buyer in the zoo or aquarium industry. The benefits of membership are numerous and priceless. Our vendor sponsors are crucial to our ability to provide the content, and the tangible rewards of membership. I encourage any interested buyer or vendor to visit our website for details.
At ZAG we are focused on growth for our organization and for our members. We couldn’t be happier about our partnership with Museums & More. We look forward to a bright future for our industry and hope ZAG can be a part of your future.
